SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING

A Special Meeting of the Central Falls City Council was held on the above date in the City Hall Council Chambers at 7:40 P.M.

Councilman Canavan
Quorum Present.
City Council President Robert Canavan presided.
Council President Canavan read the titles for Introduction of the budget Ordinances as follows:
1. The Annual Operating Budget Ordinance
2. The Capital Program Ordinance
3. The Annual Capital Budget Ordinance
4. Amending Chapter 2 Article VII, Section 2-67 Wage Schedule Generally of the revised Ordinances as amended.
5. Pertaining to salaries of Department Heads and others in Unclassified service.
6. Amending Section 2-68 salaries of Firemen and Policemen as amended.
7. Establishing the classes of positions, the employees in certain classes in City Departments.
So Introduced.
City Clerk Daniel Issa brought a resolution regarding R.I. Housing before the Council for consideration.
Unanimous consent was given.
Mayor Lazieh commented in support of this resolution which would allow for a grant of $250,000.00 to upgrade housing in the City.
Councilman Matthews asked questions relative to this resolution.
Resolution Authorizing the Mayor to file an application for funding with the Rhode Island Housing and Mortgage Finance Corporation.
Motion to approve was made by Councilman Paquette and seconded by Councilman Matthews.

Unanimous consent given without objection to discuss Mayor Lazieh's Correspondence regarding the Animal Control Officer.
Councilman Matthews questioned Mayor Lazieh.
Mayor Lazieh related to the Council that the Animal Control Officer is on R.I. National Guard Duty for a period of two weeks and he has appointed Ronald Robichaud, Jr. interim acting Animal Control Officer.
Council Members questioned Mayor Lazieh.
Discussion ensued.
Procedures and future actions discussed.
Motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Paquette and seconded by Councilman Matthews and Councilman Ferri. All Agreed. So Voted.
