SPECIAL ORGANIZATIONAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
MONDAY, JANUARY 6, 1992
A Special Organizational Meeting of the Central Falls City Council was held on the above date in the City Hall Council Chambers at 12:05 P.M.

COUNCILMAN LEE MATTHEWS
COUNCILWOMAN SANDRA MOREAU
COUNCILMAN LOUIS PAQUETTE
QUORUM PRESENT.
City Clerk, Daniel J. Issa sat as Acting President of the City Council.
Motion was made by Councilman Canavan and seconded by Councilman Paquette to adopt Robert's Rules.

City Clerk Daniel Issa opened the floor for nominations for City Council President.
Councilman Paquette nominated Councilman Canavan. Nomination seconded by Councilman Ferri.
City Clerk asked if there were any other nominations.
No other nominations were made and Clerk Issa cast one vote for Councilman Canavan.
City Clerk Issa turned the chair over to the newly elected President of the City Council Robert Canavan.
City Council President Canavan asked for nominations for President Pro Temp. of the City Council.
Councilman Ferri nominated Councilwoman Sandra Moreau. Nomination seconded by Councilman Paquette.
City Council President Canavan asked if there were any other nominations. Hearing none he asked the Clerk to cast one vote for Councilwoman Moreau.
City Council President Canavan congratulated Councilwoman Moreau on her election as President Pro Temp. of the City Council.
Motion was made by Councilman Paquette and seconded by Councilwoman Moreau to defer appointments until Regular Meeting on January 13th.

Motion was made by Councilman Paquette and seconded by Councilwoman Moreau to approve the schedule of meetings for 1992.

Introduced by Council President Canavan.
Mayor Lazieh addressed the City Council and congratulated them. He commented on the renovations that took place on the Chambers and thanked the City Employees responsible for the work.
Motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Paquette and seconded by Councilwoman Moreau. All Agreed. So Voted. Time 12:50 P.M.
