CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 1992
A City Council Workshop was held on the above date in the City Hall Council Chambers at 7:10 P.M.
Present:
Councilwoman Moreau
Councilman Paquette
Councilman Matthews
Chief Coutu and Charles Pytel were also present at this workshop.
Councilman Paquette questioned Chief Coutu about the Comprehensive Plan and G.T.E.
Chief Coutu responded.
Councilman Paquette questioned Chief Coutu on the Fire Department's manpower.
Chief Coutu explained his budget requests and told the Council of his five year long range view of his budgetary needs.
Councilman Matthews questioned Chief Coutu on his views regarding 24 hour operation of area business and manpower training in his department.
Chief Coutu discussed EMT Training and the grants obtained for manpower training through Senator Issa.
Councilwoman Moreau questioned Chief Coutu and discussed the Fire Truck received from Pawtucket.
Chief Coutu commented on an Ordinance passed last year regarding fees collected for Hazardous Materials permits and asked the Council to enact an Ordinance designating these funds to a special account for the Fire Department. He stated that this permit has already realized $3,000.00.
