REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 1990
A Regular Meeting of the Central Falls City Council was held in the City Hall Council Chambers on the above date at 8:03 P.M.

Councilman Vaudreuil
Councilman Sienkiewicz absent due to illness.
Quorum present.
Council President Albert O. Laroche presided.
Motion to accept and place on file collectively the minutes to the previous meetings was made by Councilman Charbonneau and seconded by Councilwoman Moreau. All agreed. So Voted.
Minimum Housing, Building Inspector, Plumbing Inspector, Electrical Inspector, Municipal Court Report, Animal Control Officer Report, Police Report.
Councilwoman Moreau commented on the Plumbing, Electrical and Municipal Court Reports.
Councilman Charbonneau commented on the Police Report.
Motion to accept collectively and place on file was made by Councilman Charbonneau and seconded by Councilwoman Moreau. All Agreed. So Voted.
An Ordinance Amending Article X Section 16-10-9 of the Traffic Ordinance Entitled "Pedestrians Soliciting Rides." Read by City Clerk Daniel Issa.
Councilman Charbonneau questioned this Ordinance with regards to hitchhikers.
Chief Robert Sasso explained that the Ordinance is to discourage the so called Ladies of the Evening.
Councilman Charbonneau further commented.
Motion to approve was made by Councilwoman Moreau and seconded by Councilman Vaudreuil. All Agreed. So Voted.
Resolution authorizing the Mayor and Finance Director to sign all documents pertaining to the acceptance of the Rhode Island Temporary Disability Insurance Laws. (School Department).
Read by City Clerk Daniel J. Issa.
Council President Laroche questioned the purpose of this Resolution.
Edna Poulin responded stating that the State requires that this Resolution be passed by the governing body of the City which is the City Council. She also stated that this expense is borne by the employees.

Councilwoman Moreau commented on Animal Control Officer William Benson on a job well done.
Mayor Lazieh commented and publicly thanked Debra Rice for her hard work as Personnel Director and her dedication to this position. He also wished her well in her new position at Davies Vocational. Council President Laroche added the thanks of the City Council to Miss Rice for her dedication and hard work.
