A Regular Meeting of the Central Falls City Council was held in the City Hall Council Chambers at 8:06 P.M.

Building Inspector, Minimum Housing, Electrical Permits, Plumbing Permits Municipal Court Report, Police Report, Animal Control Officer Report. Motion to accept collectively and place on file was made by Councilman Charbonneau and seconded by Councilman Sienkiewicz. All Agreed. So Voted.
An Amendment to the Revised Ordinances Amending Fees for Licenses and Permits as Amended.

Maurice Dauray questioned the registration of business named.
City Council President Albert O. Laroche read the Ordinance and addressed the City Council.

Resolution in Celebration of Rhode Island "Earth Day" 1990.
Motion to approve was made by Councilman Sienkiewicz and seconded by Councilman Charbonneau. All Agreed. So Voted.
Resolution authorizing the Mayor to file a Community Development Application.
Motion to approve was made by Councilman Vaudreuil and seconded by Councilman Charbonneau. All Agreed. So Voted.

Resolution Petitioning the General Assembly of the State of Rhode Island at its 1990 Session to enact legislation enabling the City Council of the
City of Central Falls to grant Tax Classification to certain property.
Mayor Lazieh addressed the City Council and explained the need for this enabling legislation.
Senator Issa commented on this resolution and explained the need to introduce this resolution at this time for the legislation.
Roland Bouvier, City Assessor explained Tax Classification.

Resolution Honoring Mary Bradley McEnery, National President of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians.

Resolution Thanking Marie Lazieh Ghazal for her dedicated years of service to the Blackstone Valley Community Health Center.

Resolution congratulating the Central Falls High School Chess Champions.

Project Zap and Earth Day
John Lefrancois, Recycling Co-Ordinator explained project Zap, a community effort to clean up the area around the Blackstone River, and an effort to clean streets and sidewalks in front of local businesses. He also explained the Earth Day program for Central Falls.

Councilman Charbonneau questioned Mr. Vitali on the operation at the Train Station. He asked what exactly would be the hours and for how many days this license would be in operation.
Mr. Vitali explained the need of this license.
Mayor Lazieh commented on the efforts made by Mr. Vitali to clean up the depot and the cost of this operation.
Councilman Sienkiewicz commented on the depot and expressed that he was glad that something was being done to use this building.

Citizens Working Together
Cheryl Maarawi, Chairperson
Chairperson Cheryl Maarawi explained to the City Council the purpose of her Committee. She stated that she would like the City Council's support in the form of a Resolution, for a proposed Regional District Court House to be located at the former Health Tex Complex. She also stated that this Committee was in the process of collecting signatures from Citizens of Central Falls to encourage the Governor to site the Court House in Central Falls.
Mayor Lazieh addressed the City Council on the efforts of this Committee and commended them for their work.
Motion was made by Councilman Charbonneau and seconded by Councilman Sienkiewicz to approve a Resolution in Support of placing a Regional District Court in the City of Central Falls.
