A meeting of the Claims Committee began at 6:00 pm.

Councilman Silva served as Chairman.

 

2.  Correspondence

 

John Gannon,Legal Department re: Opinion of Subrogation Claim of Kenneth Raymond et al.

 

 

Motion to accept and place on file made by Councilman Leger and seconded by Councilman Benson.  All Agreed.  So Voted.

 

3.  Claims For Damages under $2500.00

    

Susan Courcy for alleged damages as a result of her vehicle hitting a pothole on 9/29/04 on Broad St. entering from Hunt St. in the amount of $242.42.

 

 

Motion to table made by Councilman Leger and seconded by Councilman Patino.  All Agreed.  So Voted.

 

4.  Claims For Damages over $2500.00 filed with Interlocal.

 

Jane Pliakas for damages to her vehicle sustained due to a collision with a vehicle of Code Enforcement on 12/7/2004.

 

Kathryn Simoneau for alleged personal injuries sustained in front of 355 Hunt st. as a result of her walking in the street due to the snow.

 

 

Antonio Goncalves- for alleged personal injuries sustained exiting the police department on Feb. 22, 2005.

 

 

Motion to refer these matters to  RI  Interlocal  made by Councilman Leger and seconded by Councilman Weber.  All Agreed.  So Voted.

 

5.  Claims not Covered by Interlocal

 

Thomas Shannahan for alleged wages for vacation time accrued as a employee.

 

Motion to pay 6 weeks of wages to settle claim, made by Councilman Leger and seconded by Councilman Benson.  All Agreed.  So Voted.
