1.  Roll Call

 

A meeting of the Claims Committee began at 6:40 pm.

2.  Correspondence

 

Todd J. Olbrych Dir. Of Code Enforcement re: 6 Park St.

Motion to accept and place on file made by Councilman Leger and seconded by Councilman Benson.  All Agreed.  So Voted.

 

3.  Claims For Damages under $2500.00

 

a.  Francisco Isep for alleged damages to his vehicle by a trash vehicle. on March 8, 2005, at the intersection of Sumner Ave. and Fuller Ave. claim filed for $1838.00.

Mr. Isep was sent a notice but did not appear nor did he send a representative.

 

Motion to table made by Councilman Patino and seconded by Councilman Weber.  All Agreed.  So Voted.

 

b. Aida Martinez for alleged damages to her vinyl siding at 6 Park St. when a rubbish truck snagged a wire and tore siding off the house.

Mr. Martinez was sent a notice but did not appear nor did he send a representative.

 

Motion to table made by Councilman Patino and seconded by Councilman Weber.  All Agreed.  So Voted.

 

c. Stephen M. Clarke for alleged damages to his vehicle on February 4, 2005 while his vehicle was parked in front of Dr.  Earl F. Calcutt by City Fire Department vehicle.

Mr. Clarke was present.  Motion to refer this matter to the Legal Department was made by Councilman Weber and seconded by Councilman Patino.  All Agreed.  So Voted.

 

4. Claims For Damages over $2500.00  (to be referred to The Trust)

 

a. Maria Szulz for alleged slip and fall injuries that occurred on April 12, 2005 in front of 965 High St. on the side walk.

 

Motion to refer this to the Trust, was made by Councilman Weber and seconded by Councilman Patino.  All Agreed.  So Voted.

10.  Adjourn

 

Motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Weber and seconded by Councilman Patino.  All Agreed.  So Voted.
