Agenda

 

A meeting of the Central Falls Claims Committee was held on the above date at 6:30 p.m.

 

Councilman Agostinho Silva chaired the meeting.

 

1.  Roll Call

Ricardo Patino (showed up late)

William Benson, Jr.

Quorum present

 

The claims committee moved around on the agenda, and did not take the items numerically.

 

2.  Claims For Damages under $2500.00 not filed with Interlocal

 

a.  Kenneth Raymond subrogation claim filed for alleged damages as a result of the City van driven by John Hajjar backing into his vehicle.

 

 

Kenneth Raymond was present, and the Council questioned Mr. Raymond.

 

Motion to approve claim for the amount of $1567.67 subject to the Legal Department receiving copies of estimates and insurance forms, seconded by Councilman Patino. All Agreed. So voted. 5-0

 

b.  Aida Martinez for alleged damages to her house as a result of the rubbish truck hitting an electrical wire and damaging the siding at 6 Park Street.

 

 

Motion to refer to Legal  Department made by Councilman Leger, seconded by Councilman Benson.

All agreed. So voted. 5-0

 

3.  Claims filed with Interlocal

 

a. Sujeri Betances for injuries as a result as an alleged slip and fall that took place December 12,2004 at 537 Broad Street in front of Lucrecia Salon.

 

b. Kim Korb for injuries as a result as an alleged slip and fall that took place on August 17, 2004 at 2pm. of the corner of Illinois and Sumner.

 

Motion to refer these claims to The Trust made by Councilman Weber, seconded by Councilman Patino. All agreed. So voted.

 

4.  Adjourn

 

Motion to adjourn at 7:00pm made by Councilman Weber, seconded by Councilman Patino, all agreed. So voted.
