A meeting of the Central Falls Claims Committee was held on the above date at 6:06 pm.

 

Councilman Agostinho Silva chaired the meeting.

Was lead by Councilman Agostinho Silva.

5.  Claims For Damages under $2500.00

 

LUZ VELEZ FOR DAMAGES TO HER APARTMENT AS A RESULT OF A CALL TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT.

 

 

Mr. Edward Samos owner of the property was also notified and present.

 

Discussion on this claim took place and questions were asked of the Claimants. Motion to grant the amount of $587.63  payable to Edward Samos, the property owner, and Luz Velez must sign off claim, made by Councilman Leger, seconded by Councilman Benson.  All agreed. So voted. 5-0

 

KRISTIN M. SULLIVAN OF 143 SUMMER ST FOR DAMAGES ALLEGELY ATTAINED BY HER VEHICLE ON APOTHOLE ON HUNT ST.

 

 

Discussion on this claim took place and questions were asked of the Claimant.  Motion to approve claim for the amount of $483.54 made by Councilman Leger, seconded by Councilman Patino.  All Agreed. So voted. 5-0

 

JOSE  MATAFOME FOR DAMAGES TO HIS PROPERTY AT 606 DEXTER ST. ALLEGELY TO HIS PROPERTY AS  A RESULT OF A SEWER BACK UP.

 

 

Mr. Matafome was notified, but was not present at this meeting. Motion to table this matter made by Councilman Weber, seconded by Councilman Leger.  All Agreed.  So voted. 5-0

 

LUIS LOZANO FOR DAMAGES TO HIS FENCE AT 419 HUNT STREET, FOR ALLEGED DAMAGES TO HIS FENCE DUE TO THE RESCUE SLIDING ON ICE.

 

 

Mr. Lozano was notified, but was not present at this meeting. Motion to table this matter made by Councilman Weber, seconded by Councilman Leger.  All Agreed.  So voted. 5-0

 

6.  Claims & Pending Suits filed with "The Trust"

 

GLEN LONARDO JR, (MINOR) THROUGH HIS PARENTS GLEN LONARDO SR AND DEBORAH CLAIM FOR DAMAGES AS PART OF THE NORTHERN RHODE ISLAND COLLABORATIVE FOR PERSONAL INJURIES ATTAINED.

 

 

SCOTT BADILLO FOR BODILY AND VEHICLE DAMAGES ALLEGELY ATTAINED AS A RESULT OF INADEQUATE SIGNS FOR THE UNDERPASS ON HIGH ST.

 

 

LIONEL ROGER FREITAS FOR DAMAGES OF AN ALLEGED BODILY INJURY ATTAINED ON JANUARY 20,2004 DUE TO A SLIP AND FALL ON THE SIDEWALK.

 

 

Motion to collectively refer the above claims to the Legal Department made by Councilman Weber, seconded by Councilman Benson.  All Agreed.  So Voted. 5-0
