CLAIMS COMMITTEE MEETING
MONDAY, APRIL 9, 1990
A Regular Meeting of the Central Falls Claims Committee was held in the City Hall Council Chambers on the above date at 8:01 P.M.
Councilman Charbonneau
Councilman Laroche
Councilman Sienkiewicz
Councilman Vaudreuil
Quorum present.
City Clerk, Daniel J. Issa sat as President Pro Temp. and opened the floor for nominations for Chairman Pro Temp.
Councilman Laroche nominated Councilman John Sienkiewicz.
Unanimous second.
Nominations closed.
City Clerk, Daniel J. Issa cast 1 vote for Councilman Sienkiewicz.
City Clerk, Daniel J. Issa turned the Chair to the Chairman Pro Temp. John S. Sienkiewicz.
Motion was made by Councilman Charbonneau and seconded by Councilman Laroche to accept and place on file the minutes to the previous meeting. All Agreed.
So Voted.
Shepard & McKenzie by their Attorney Gordon M. Smith, Esq. damages for services rendered to the City of Central Falls, ($25,000.00)
Motion to refer to the Legal Department was made by Councilman Charbonneau and seconded by Councilman Laroche. All Agreed. So Voted.
George J. Costa, by his Attorney Donna M. Savella, Esq. for damages arising out of the conduct of the agents, servants, and employees of the City of Central Falls to wit, a certain Police Officer or Police Officers of the Central Falls Police Department. ($250,000) Motion to refer to the Legal Department was made by Councilman Laroche and seconded by Councilman Charbonneau. All Agreed. So Voted.
Neveu Construction- Recommend that the Claimant submit claim to the Department of Transportation.
Raymond Brodeur- Recommend that the Claimant submit claim to Luther Ray Builders.
Motion to accept the recommendations collectively was made by Councilman Laroche and seconded by Councilman Vaudreuil. All Agreed. So Voted.
Motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Laroche and seconded by Councilman Vaudreuil. All Agreed. So Voted. Time 8:06 P.M.
