Pursuant to section 8(e) of the Michigan Open Meetings Act for the purpose of consulting with our attorneys regarding trial and settlement strategy in connection with Mullendore v. City of Belding and others, Case no. 1-cv-297 currently pending in the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan, and Case No. 15-H-31417 CZ, currently pending in Ionia County Circuit Court, as failure to go into closed session would have a detrimental financial effect on the litigation and settlement position of the City.
